Man Of La Mancha Fairfax Theatre reviews
Alice In Chains @ Thunder Valley 7/25/15
The show time was 7pm but didn't begin until 7:30, which was disappointing since there was no opener. It was obvious that they had some issues, as the crew seemed unprepared in general. The audio was terrible (Thunder usually sounds great, so it must have been their audio guy). Initially, the Talk Box didn't work on Man Of La Mancha. The lighting effects were awkward because the band couldn't be seen when it was dark due to the lack of upper lights. The stage set was an eyesore with no banners and travel cases thrown around, which was surprising for such a popular band. Security was more focused on wristbands for water purchase than addressing illegal activity, despite the prevalent drug use in the stands. On the positive side, the band sounded good despite the negatives, and I would still recommend the show. While waiting for an encore, I managed to leave the parking lot and avoid the traffic. One suggestion to the lead singer William: you have a great voice, but try to be more of an entertainer. Go see a Foreigner concert to understand what I mean. Thanks, Lol!
